The Chesapeake Bay Appreciation Calendar is a concept project I created to explore ways of highlighting parts of the Chesapeake Bay that are often overlooked and deserve to be protected. Living on the Chesapeake Bay for 5 years, I saw its beauty and the pollution that damaged it daily. I’d admire the aquatic plants just outside my backdoor one day, and see them tangled in trash or buried in excess sediment the next. I’d like this calendar to teach people about the intricacies of this watershed to build appreciation and ensure its protection.
